Stay tuned!

I’ll continue to add pictures to the site, as well as keeping you posted on the status of the car’s permanent registration.

Terri, what a very excellent adventure. Since you have over 6000 miles on your car I was wondering if you have had any mechanical problems with the car?
Secondly, how did the yoko advan AO-48 tires perform for you on your long journey? From dry to wet conditions? I am still debating on which tires to go with. Tom at Brammo said to get the most out of the car I really should go with the AO-48’s.
Have you started the process of registering your atom in NJ yet?
    Thanks again for your adventure.
    cheers Doug

The only real issue is with the clutch needing to be bled every few thousand miles – somehow, air is getting into the system. Brammo will be sending me a new master cylinder now that I’m back home.

The AO48’s are just about down to the wear bars in the rear. The grip is well worth it, though. I’ve ordered another set of mounted AO48’s, and once the ones I have on the car now are worn down, I’ll mount tires with longer life/better wet characteristics on those wheels, so I can swap setups as needed / desired depending on driving style and weather.

My NJ registration is being worked on. I have someone in the local MV agency who is making sure that Trenton has all the right paperwork before I go down there and do whatever I need to do in person.

Great blog and cool trip. I will be following your NJ registration carefully as I am in New York which is basically impossible. Are you having to make any alterations to your atom to comply?
I will probably be ordering in a month or so and will be driving my atom cross country from Oregon. You have blazed a trail 🙂

I really can’t say anything right now about the registration process. Once I have completed it I may be willing to talk about it.

The reason I’m reluctant is that I already had a problem with my insurance – the original company I was with cancelled my policy after somebody I told about the company contacted them and made a ruckus about the company declining his Atom.

While I’m all for helping others out, I can’t do that at the expense of my own ability to insure and register the Atom.

    Dear Mr. Kennedy:

This was great. Thank you so much for posting what you experienced as well as all those cool photos. I don’t have anything cool or innovative to say. All I can say is that I am grateful to you for doing this. You have improved my quality of life by sharing your adventure here at this website.

    Dear Mr. Kennedy:

What ever happened to the Donut Run? Did it come off?

    Jacob 🙂

Regarding the Donut Run, that wasn’t my project. I think it morphed into AtomFest 2007 – http://www.atomfest.org

I’ll have a few updates on new appearances of my Atom later this month. Thanks to everyone who has been patient for all this time…
