Scottsdale
I had the Atom serviced today at Scottsdale Lotus. They’re fine folks and have experience working on Atoms (though with my service today, their experience has doubled). They’re into cars – all kinds of cars (don’t let the “Lotus” in the name fool you).
I had the clutch bled (hopefully this time it stays bled – sometimes I feel I’m just herding bubbles into the clutch slave cylinder so they can be rounded up and extracted), the oil and filter changed, all the assorted nuts and bolts checked for proper torque, and the brakes and tires inspected.
I should be moving on to Springerville, AZ on my way to Albuquerque, NM tonight, unless I get a report of unfavorable weather.

The folks at Scottsdale Lotus were very nice and understanding. I had a lot of fun today just hanging around looking at all the nice cars and talking to the guys that worked there. It seemed like a fun place to hang out at or work at… everyone was very friendly. They even welcomed me back any time to take pics of their nice car collection and visit. I’m going to drop the video off when I finish editing it. All in all, a fantastic day… glad the coolant leak wasn’t as big of a problem as it could have been.

Yup – great folks. Given that the coolant reservoir was still at the factory fill level, the leak couldn’t have been that bad – it probably just dribbles out of the purge plug in the radiator when the temperatures get really hot. Back home, the car will probably never see the temperatures it’s seen the past few days.
